Job Description:

Oxford Airport Technical Services performs a broad range of projects related to airport passenger boarding bridges, baggage handling systems, ground support equipment and building facilities including refurbishment, relocation, installation, and upgrades. The Oxford Project Manager’s primary function is to lead a project team of internal personnel, union and subcontract labor and material/ equipment suppliers to achieve project objectives. The Project Manager (PM) is the liaison between clients and Oxford and can work with all levels of stakeholders. The PM may be involved in a project starting during the sales phase and will be responsible for management of the project from initiation to closing. A master of leading from the top down, the right candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor and will be comfortable directing personnel, communicating with clients, resolving conflicts, and making executive decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and execution of projects from initiation to closing, responsible for managing all aspects including scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, communication, risk, procurement, stakeholders, and integration
  • Creating and managing project schedules including critical path planning, construction phasing, setting targets for milestones, and adhering to deadlines
  • Define project roles and responsibilities including delegating tasks and work assignments to the resources best positioned to complete them
  • Proactive planning, negotiation and effective decision making to resolve conflicts, mitigate risks and progress the project
  • Coordination of cross- discipline team members to ensure team actions remain aligned with project goals and deliverables
  • Budget Management and Cost Controlling including Earned Value Analysis and reporting to ensure continual alignment with as-sold budget
  • Change Management to ensure change requests are properly budgeted and approved and proactive change control to ensure scope, schedule and costs impacts for changes are understood and project plans are adjusted
  • Progress tracking and status reporting including communication with VP/Corporate and routine development of status reports
  • Performing quality control throughout the project and providing excellent customer service to maintain company standards and deliver on contractual requirements and stakeholder expectations
  • Support the creation and implementation of Organizational Process Assets and Standard Operating Procedures used to manage Oxford projects

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience in client facing project management
  • Ability to lead a team to consistently to achieve the project’s objectives and stakeholders’ expectations while delivering an exceptional standard of quality work
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Must possess a sense of urgency and effective communication skills to drive outcomes and meet deadlines under pressure 
  • Background in construction management is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software with specific competency using Microsoft Project – Project Management and Scheduling Software
  • Willingness to work extra hours when needed

Education Requirements:

  • Overall 10yrs of exceptional Project Management experience planning and managing construction, industrial or automation projects
  • Must have at least 5yrs plus of experience in the airport industry
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is highly Preferred
  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred
  • High School Diploma/GED is required
  • This is a full-time salaried position. The candidate is guaranteed a 40-hour work week but can expect to work longer hours at times. Candidates’ salary will be based on experience and skill level.
