Job Description:
Responsible for administrative support of the Systems Engineer at LGA-LGP site. Will be providing additional support for LGP contracts and overall projects
Job Details:
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Access
- Must be able to build computers
- Basic understanding of ethernet networking; Knowledge of IT/Networking, database applications and Industrial Communication Networks such as DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, DH+, and Modbus
- Aptitude for basic PLC Knowledge and understanding ladder logics and industrial controls
- Knowledge of PLCs (e.g. ControlLogix, Modicon, Siemens S7)
- Industrial machinery experience
Required/Preferred Skills include:
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and ability to read schematics (panel building a plus); Ability to problem solve, program, debug, test, and document software on control systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Understanding of industrial environments, engineering, and production processes
- Maintain current and accurate documentation of systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities is required
- Excellent Time Management skills
Education/Experience:
- Experience and/or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology in a related field (preferred) or Associate’s degree from a 4 year college or equivalent technical school
- 3+ years of controls engineering design/programming experience
- Functional knowledge in various PLC ladder logic and HMI programming systems
- Baggage Handling Systems Conveyor Controls helpful
- Prior experience in the conveyor, material handling or related industries helpful
